I believe that town government has the biggest impact on our daily lives, from the police patrolling your neighborhood, to every time you turn on your water and daily travels in between. Besides health and safety, your quality of life and property value are tied to the town. It’s the most accessible form of government because your elected officials are your neighbors. These are some of the reasons why I am so passionate about serving the town.
I will be an engaged representative. I attend every regular Council meeting now and am willing to put in the additional time, attention, and work the job requires.
Communication: Take advantage of technology to communicate with the public more effectively.
Increased Transparency: Help foster an environment where public participation is encouraged and welcomed.
Accountability: Exercise prudence to continue providing essential services during challenging economical times. Inflation and shortages are affecting everyone. Emphasize maintenance and planning to preserve infrastructure. Be a good steward of taxpayer and utility customer dollars.
My husband, Dale, and I are retired empty nesters.
We purchased our forever home in March 2019, a 1961 ranch in downtown. We chose Millsboro because of its central location in Sussex County, and the mix of a traditional downtown and suburban highway convenience.
We moved here from small town Ohio.
Although, this is the biggest town we have lived in, the people of Millsboro have been very welcoming to us.
